Is it possible to upgrade from the 32-bit version of Windows XP to the 64 bit version of Windows Vista without losing everything, or must a clean install be performed?

32 to 64 bit upgrade?
No, upgrades from Windows XP x86 to Vista x64 are not supported. Windows XP SP2 does support upgrades to Windows Vista x86 though. http://windowsconnected.com/blogs/andre/archive/2006/06/08/3002.aspx -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

I currently have a 64 bit processor running a 32 bit version of Windows XP - can I upgrade to the 64 bit version of Windows Vista without running a clean install?
